Cyber Resilience Network (CRN): Working together to tackle cyber threats

Collaboration & networking
Your organisation is already working on cybersecurity. Yet the threats are growing: attacks on vital systems, disruption of services, and data entering the public domain. Acting alone is difficult, and resolving incidents often exceeds your own capacity. That is why the Cyber Resilience Network (CRN) exists: to stand stronger together. Through the CRN, you can connect with other organisations to identify threats earlier and respond faster.

What is it and who is it for?

The CRN is a partnership of public and private organisations. Its goal is to prevent digital disruption and strengthen the cyber resilience of the Netherlands. Government bodies, critical companies, and sector organisations work together in this network. There is always a role for your organisation, regardless of its size.

The foundation of the Cyber Resilience Network is set out in the Cyber Resilience Network Vision. Together with public and private partners, we developed the Cyber Resilience Network Blueprint on the basis of that vision. The CRN facilitates and coordinates collaboration in:

  1. Information sharing
  2. Target and victim notification
  3. Incident handling
  4. Knowledge exchange
  5. Education, training, and exercises

What does participation involve?

If you join the CRN, you connect via a hub organisation such as a Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT) or an Objectief Kenbaar Tot Taak (OKTT; the Dutch designation for organisations with a clearly defined statutory task). You share relevant signals about cyber threats, receive information from other organisations, and take part in collaboration, knowledge exchange, and education, training, and exercises. You contribute, and you also benefit: you become part of a network that acts before an incident escalates.

What are the benefits?

Participating in the CRN means genuine collaboration. You receive signals earlier and gain a better understanding of patterns, enabling you to respond before an incident grows. Your organisation becomes more resilient, your services are better protected, and you contribute to the security of both other organisations and the Netherlands as a whole.

Participation means active engagement: you share information, adhere to agreed security protocols, and help shape how the network develops. It also means your organisation is open to learning and to building connections with other parties in the network.

Join the CRN
